Accessing the clipboard history closes keyboard

I've been having this issue with my SM-S926W Galaxy S24+. Lately when I select the clipboard from the toolbar to paste something, the keyboard closes and I need to open it again. It doesn't happen all the time but its consistent enough that it's getting annoying.

I've updated my phone several times and am on the most recent security update.

Do you use edge panels? My most useful edge panel is the clipboard. No interference with the keyboard.

I do not. I turned the ede panel off.

On the toolbar that the predicted words shows up along.
