topic Who else regrets upgrading to the S26Ultra? in Galaxy S26

Who else is experiencing regret for upgrading to the S26Ultra?

I noticed on the S26 that many A.I. features do not respond as well as they did on the S25. One example of this would be the call translate function (live translate). When activated during a call, there's a significant amount of time that passes before it kicks in. The interface waits on me to speak before it begins translation, as opposed to translating as soon as to other person begins speaking.

There is also the removal of Bixby Vision. I used this on the S25 to take photos or screenshots of document originally written in another language. I was then able to activate Bixby Vision on the photo and save a new translated version of that document or screenshot. I could then forward the new document or photo to whoever I wanted.

Presently, the translation of documents depends entirely on the phone A.I. The A.I. overlays the translations on the document, but no longer allows you to download a new translated version of the document. Additionally, the S26 A.I. doesn't always identify that a photo or screenshot contains text to be translated like it did on the S25.

The A.I. only allows you to copy and forward the translated text (sometimes). It no longer allows forwarding of the text overlays on the original document or photo.

I regret upgrading to the S26 Ultra. There were features that worked effectively and efficiently on the S25 Ultra that have now being downgraded or removed entirely on the S26 Ultra. One would think that Samsung would've kept features that worked and added additional ones to the S26 Ultra.

The S26 is entirely A.I. driven. As such, this version does not offer the same responsiveness as it did with the previous S25.

Don't believe the YouTube videos touting the S26 Ultra as the greatest Galaxy phone available. The best feature is the privacy feature, however this can be provided for your S25 using a $15 Amazon privacy screen.

Keep your S25 until Samsung gets the A.I. kinks out. I want my S25 Ultra back. 😔 😟
