I'm truly sorry to hear about this. You have 90 day manufacturers warranty. Call the president of Samsung. Call the Attorney General. Do what you must. It is an expensive item.

Do you have samsung care +? I literally just found out that they extended the coverage for up to one year of purchase. Did you purchase the phone online? In a store?

Have you tried running diagnostic tests and see if it brightens up during test mode? What about safe mode? Try eliminating some of your apps first.

If there is a uBreakiFix location near, call them or just walk in to their store. They are the official repair center for Samsung devices. Go to their site and look for the nearest locations. https://www.ubreakifix.com/

If Samsung support stated that the phone would need to be sent in, that is and has been their standard procedure for years. If it warrants needing to being replaced, they will replace it with same model, under their options (probably a new since the phone has only been in user hands for a little over a month now). That has been in the terms of their warranty for as long as I have been using Samsung devices. Read here under the section "What are Samsung's obligations?". https://www.samsung.com/us/support/legal/LGL10000282/
