Links in (Google) message app

Lately, I've noticed that when I share links, the preview isn't showing up anymore. It's a bit frustrating because those previews really help to give context to what I'm sharing. I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this or if there's a known bug. I've tried sharing on different platforms, but the issue seems consistent. Hopefully, this is something that can be resolved soon! 🤞 #LinkPreview #TechIssues

Make sure the toggles of interest are turned on in Message Settings - Automatic previews.

I don't use it and am unable to see if something changed recently. Hope others can help more.

Any link should take you to browser to view it

Yes, I do have that enabled. It had been functioning properly.

Try clearing cache of the app.

Uninstall and reinstall is the 2nd option!

*** Resolved

Cleared the cache and deleted the data, then re-enabled the view links. One update came in and all is well.

When you deleted the data, did you have to set up messages once again? Did you turn off RCS before deleting and turn it on again or did it work transparently after deleting data? Thanks!

It worked after deleting the data, and I feared the same thing in having to do everything over again. I have my stuff backed up. So, after I deleted the data, it took the app back to its initial settings, and there was one update. Then everything started to fall back in line with my settings.
