Is there a way to personalize Google messages?

I really hate Google messages and hate the fact that the consumers are being forced to adapt to the uncustomizable messaging app. I want to do more than just change the color of the chat. I mean you pay all this money for these devices only to be governed on how to personalize them. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to better customize this plain Jane app?

Why not? Do you know what it is? Theme Park and Wonderland look like promising apps inside Good Lock to do what the poster wants

GoodLock doesn't really have much for Google Messages from what I can see. I've used GoodLock for a while.

I think it gives some hope too. We'll be hoping on that. But I think Samsung should have something more specific to them, just like iPhone's

I hope one of the features will be the ability to hide the content of the message from showing on screen when receiving texts.

Why? It's a Google app, not a Samsung one. Samsung has no control over what Google does with their app. Send feedback to Google.

Good Lock only works fir Samsung apps. Since Google messages is a Google app, Good Lock will not affect it in any way.
