Galaxy S26 Ultra front facing camera night mode doesn't work.

Please someone explain to me why when I try to take a photo in low light using the frontal camera in night mode woth the S26 Ultra, the image optimization turns me into a corpse? The blurry image is a screenshot I took before the optimization finalized.

This is only happening with the S26 Ultra I just bought. Neither my previous S23 Ultra nor my gfs S25 exibit this behavior.

To replicate: dark room, one warm led light at 1% intensity, screen at minimum brightness.

The S25 even does a better job at it because it increases the brightness of the screen when the night mode screen appears.

This is absurd for a flagship phone.

Open the camera, then click the four dots square, settings gear icon, photo enhancer and then use each of the three choices (radio buttons) to get the best results. Try them and see if better results show.

Update: turns out what makes the front facing night mode work properly is the Adaptive Brightness function of the display. If it's turned off, the screen won't light up when the yellow circle appears.

The same does not happen when using front facing flash, which is, in the opposite hand, way too bright and will always make you squint.

But using adaptive brightness and tweaking tint afterwards gave me a decent result.
