I'm jealous of my GF's iPhone. She always knows it's me when her iPhone blows a Viking horn sound. It gives custom ringtones AND text message sounds for her brother and different users incoming texts AND calls.

Is there any way to do this on my ZFold 4?

Download the app Zedge. It's got ringtones, notification tones, wallpapers... It's the best app out there.

Thanks, I have created some great ringtones from my favorite songs also. Particularly The Stones- Honky Tonk Woman, I can't get no satisfaction...

Yes, you can set custom ringtones for calls in the Contacts app and custom notification sounds for text in the Samsung Messages app. You can even create custom backgrounds, something the iPhone can't do.

Thanks, Dan. Your right, but unfortunately, I'll have to create the ogg file in the correct directory instead of the mp3 you can use in phone ringtones to use the same sound for both the phone and messages. It is easier on the iPhone to select matching tones but the android has more flexibility in creating.

Not so.

Place any mp3 file in Internal Storage/Ringtones for ringtones, and Internal Storage/Notifications for notifications.

There is a size limit for, I believe, so if you don't see the file listed, edit it to about 20-30 secs.

I do this all the time.

The largest ringtone mp3 file I use is 6.31 MB, 337 KB is the largest mp3 I have for notification.
