Charging stops and then restarts

Phone stops charging after a while. Meanwhile, still connected to original charger it says charging again. This is annoying.

@mermaid_89 A couple of things...

If you have your phone configured to only charge to 85% it will stop charging there but then resume when it drops below 85%.
If your phone gets too hot, it will pause charging until it cools down.

Of course, it could be the charger that you are using. Have you tried a different charger and different cable?

I've tried all of my chargers for this phone. It's all the same. I do not have the battery protect on.

I've done this. It's still doing the same thing. I always try all my troubleshooting tools and ideas before everything else. Thank you all for the tips.

Based off all of the previous responses, it seems you've found a rare case. Your charging port may be borked. For now you should utilize a wireless charger until you can get it checked out by a professional. If it does it while wireless charging, then it's software side. Does it charge to a certain % before it stops or is it all over the place and random?

It charges to 87/89% and stops and charges again.

Does the bottom feel really hot to the touch? Sometimes that can happen if it's too hot to protect itself
