Messages Background

Why can't I change the background in the Samsung Messages app? I buy a theme from the galaxy store and it never applies to my messages app. It's always just the plain boring background. Using Galaxy Flip5 now but it never worked on my other Galaxy Flip4 either. And I'm using the Samsung messages app, not the Google app

To modify the wallpaper of the Samsung Messages app:

Make sure the theme and app are updated.
Use the Samsung Themes theme.
app cache and data clearing.
Restart the computer.
If the problem continues, get in touch with Samsung support.

This never worked on my new and old phone, may just be a Galaxy flip issue

Do you have the phone in Dark Mode? Many themes are not compatible in Dark Mode.
