So whenever I am connected to my ear buds I get notifications that I'm connected to a device like every 5 seconds until I disconnect

You can turn That off (notification) under settings if you don't want to get them

@StoneyRoads Which earbuds are you using? I haven't experienced that with any earbuds.

It is possible they are caused by some security or network utility that you have installed. As a troubleshooting step, boot into safe mode. If you don't get those notifications while booted in safe mode you know that they are caused by 3rd party software.

Probably it's tryin to connect 2 devices at the same time, disconnect the other device from Bluetooth.

Try Settings>General management>Reset>Reset network settings. Mind you, this will clear all Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections/settings and you will have to reestablish them afterward.

You can use an app like auto notification to block notifications. I use it to block system notifications that I cannot turn off through settings.
