How to keep mobile hotspot always on and connected

This is under the Hotspot advanced settings on my A54, Maybe your phone has similar settings. Automatic turn off never.

This can also be a carrier limitation.

Why would you want that? It's my understanding that as long as something is connected to it, it will stay on. Why have it on if nothing is connected? Seems like a battery sucker to me. However, as @mermaidcaviar illustrated, you can set it to never time out.
