Overheating and battery life way shorter

Since downloading the UI 7 update, my battery life is way shorter. I mean, I have always been a heavy user of my phone, but I have never had to make sure I have a charger wherever I go. Now I do. And phone now is overheating all the time. To the point that when I'm using Androud Auto, I can't use maps half the time because my phone is too hot. I get a warning that I have to wait until the phone cools down. This is ridiculous. My phone gets hot from just charging. And I have noticed that the super charge does not charge as fast as it used to, as well. I regret this update. When will a patch be pushed?

Have you wiped cache partition since the update?

Have you checked for Google Play Services updates?

Sometimes just uninstalling Android Auto and getting a clean download helps.

Android Auto is not the problem. The problem is my phone gets hot, and maps will not open if your phone is too hot. A few of my apps will not open if my phone is too hot. My phone gets hot on and off all day, while charging or just using the normal apps I have always used, like YouTube.

I have not wiped my cache partition.

I would do that and look from Google Play System updates.

You can also download Good Guardians and then the Thermal Guardian module. This will tell you what is overheating your device.

I have now wiped the cache portion and updated the Google Play System. I will test how it reacts now.

It did not help. My phone is running hot to the touch. It seemed to be working for a few moments but then my phone just got hot just updating an app in Google play and has been hot since then.

My s25U got so hot one say it scorched my case. The May security patch fixed that and battery drain.

I did use Good Guardians and Thermal Guardian, to find the culprit. It was YouTube and Lyft that over heated my phone.

In the Thermal Guardian module I stepped down the GPU Thermal threshold and turned on all the things in addition settings that if it started getting hot, it would trigger the settings on turned on.
