Fold 7 defect Samsung won't send a replacement.

Received my fold 7 yesterday and noticed that when closed the top corner and bottom corner does not close all the way, there is a significant gap. I reached out to samsung and they said all I can do is return the phone. Purchase another one and once the defective phone is returned they will issue me a refund for that phone. I've been with Samsung since the Note 2 and never have had an issue like this where they don't take care of the customer and make things right. Not happy right now

Seems like the gap is caused by the case.. it the gap present without the case?

Take the case off please and post another picture without the case while it's folded.

There have been reports of some of the Fold7 not closing fully. Hopefully, this is a result of the case and not one of them.

I would like to verify it is the case. Took the case off and it closes fine. So here's the dilemma. Go completely unprotected and it closes or put a case on it and take the chance something getting in between the gap and scratching the screen.

I'm sure there are plenty of other cases you could use that would fold completely shut. You may want to consider one of those.

Look for case reviews on YouTube, there are many up already. Pick an established brand, not one of those cheap Chinese brands.

It was the Torras case I had on because of the review I saw on youtube. Now I'm just rocking a naked f7 for now. I just ordered the Thinborne aramid case

I can report that the Spigen Tough Armor case doesn't have this issue. Good luck with the Thinborne; I've heard good things!

There are few faulty cases that prevent phone to close proeprly , but you can try different case from Samsung websites or Amazon .

I have noticed the same issue with my unit. The service centre guys have no clue of what is to be done.

Visiting again to resolve this. Hope it gets done today.
