topic Is There Actually a Screen Protector?? in Fold & Flip Phones

This may be a silly question but I got my Z Flip 7 from Xfinity and the guy told me there wasn't a screen protector, but I've heard that Samsung puts one on all main screens of their flips? Should I slap a new one on? Idk if he meant there's no screen protector on the cover screen or something?

Foldables have factory installed screen protectors on the inner display. These protectors are different because they are part of the device. Do not install a third party screen protector on top of the pre-installed inner screen protector, the extra thickness could damage the display or hinge.

You can purchase and use a screen protector for the exterior cover screen.

Thank you! I was so confused because the employee told me I could put one on and it wouldn't impact the crease, but it worried me because I'd heard horror stories about that lol 🙏

You're very welcome. Also, be aware that the factory installed screen protector will start to peel at some point, probably somewhere around 6 month to a year.

When this happens, have it replaced immediately. If dust or debris gets underneath the lifted screen protector, it can permanently damage the display. Do not attempt to remove or replace it yourself, you will void your warranty. Instead, visit a certified Samsung repair center where they have specialized equipment to properly install the screen protector. Find one near you: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/locations/
