Well hopefully you're one of the few people that are still buying warranties on your phones? Go through your carrier and get it replaced or if you bought it unlocked through Samsung reach out to them You don't have many options other than that except throwing it away and paying the full price for a new one

I've tried searching and was unsuccessful. Over the past two or three months my power button has started to fail. Finally within the past week or so it finally gave out. Before I was able to finagle it to make it work. Fortunately there were other ways like double tapping the screen to turn it on and off. The only way I can turn the phone on is if I go into recovery mode by pressing the volume keys down as well as plugging it in. I'm not sure what cause the power button failure. I don't have the Samsung Service Center near me. Because of this I've had to get a new phone and have left the fold family and went back to the ultra line. Any ideas?

@drcap If the side key is no longer working, it sounds like a hardware failure and you will need to have a service center evaluate the device.

Before you do that, you can try other troubleshooting techniques like booting into safe mode, wiping the device cache partition, and factory data reset. Factory data reset will wipe the data from the device.

To boot in safe mode, https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

For immediate assistance, one option is to use the Samsung Members app -> Support -> Send text. This will open up live troubleshooting.

Another option is to contact Samsung support via https://www.samsung.com/us/support/contact/
