Last night i unfolded the flip z 6 in very cold ny weather and heard a crinkling sound.

The inner screen is now mostly black with a white splotch + thin colored lines on the top and bottom edges.

I called customer support and was told that it is not covered, i have to pay for it.

My phone is in otherwise immaculate condition.

I have never seen a disclaimer from samsung about cold weather.

Shouldnt this be considered a manufacturing defect and be covered regardless of warranty period???

I should not have to pay for this?

At least, if they would agree to give me the full trade value (not as a broken screen) I would at least get an upgrade without a loss??

It is recommended not to use your phone outdoors when it is extremely cold. You put on layers to keep your body warm and to protect yourself from the cold, your phone too needs protection from the extreme cold weather.

It is not a manufacturers defect, it is science. Ultra thin glass and extreme cold, -17 with the wind chill factor last night. They state this in the paperwork that is included with your phone.
