Samsung Internet opens a new tab for a YouTube video and not the YouTube app?

New to Samsung phones. Long time apple user and 2 generation of pixel 9 and 10 XL that have been my favorite phones to date vanilla android is smooth. But I am really enjoying the Fold 7 and trying to use Samsung apps. My question is why in the Samsung browser if I search something and a YouTube video shows and I click it why does it open another tab and not open the YouTube app? I have followed everything I can find online and on here. From reading looks like I am suppose to have an option to tick so it will open a YouTube video in YouTube app and not the browser. But I don't see that option or it is called something else now or been moved. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

you can open its app through the small icon in the search bar or you can turn off that feature.

no problem, there is also ad blocking and tracker blocking! you just need to download it's apps.

So to get add blocking and tracker blocking I will need to download apps? Which apps? Is that not built into the browser already? Thanks.

only for ad blocking, just go to your tool bar that's at the bottom of your screen and tap "ad blockers" and "privacy".

no problem, you can tap and hold an icon from your tool bar to customize it or go to settings to change anything to your liking. i highly recommend it!

Not an edge fan. Don't even use it on PC. Just have heard and read such great things about samsung internet wanted to try it but make it work seamlessly. Its working how it should for me now. This was better than customer support. Thanks

Not sure who to reply too, but this is how this app should be. Two people (maybe more), figuring out the posted issue(s), and work towards fixing it. Not having a whole argument about the slightest inconvenience. So for that, thank you. I'm not a moderator for this app, but still. I'm happy to see people like helping others out. (I barely use this app, hence why this is still a surprise that people aren't just arguing or being hostile towards each other.
