Edge cover lighting doesn't work on cover screen when the phone is plugged in

So my edge light doesn't work when I plug in the phone. All the modes are set and it flashes on the main screen but not the cover. Phone is new. Please help.

That can be frustrating have you tried turning the settings off restarting the phone and turning the light settings back on and see if it triggers it

Or vise versa lol I've had things trigger for me by doing that.

Hey there TMoneyy!

I know this can be frustrating with your Edge Cover lighting not working on your cover screen. Have you checked to make sure the "Always On Display" is enabled to show for new notifications? Also, verify that "Edge Lighting" is enabled in settings and "Do Not Disturb" is not turned on.

Test in Safe Mode: This mode will disable all third-party apps from running in the background, which will determine if an app is causing your edge light on your cover screen to not work when you plug in your phone.

1. Open the power menu by holding the Side Key + Volume Down button, or swipe down for the top-right toggles and click the power icon.
2. Touch and hold the Power off button on the screen.
3. Tap Safe mode when it appears to confirm and restart.

How to Exit Safe Mode:
- Restart your phone using the power menu option.
- Alternatively, tap the "Safe mode is on" notification in the dropdown shade to restart.
