Why take away Samsung Messages?!

I dont understand the reason for this... the customization on Google messages is terrible compared to Samsung; therefore, I would like to use Samsung Messages. I bought a Samsung phone for the customization features. And now you're taking that away? Please communicate with Google to make the customization the same as Samsung Messages (like we've been asking) because it's starting to feel like Samsung is abandoning their customers...

What is up with Samsung removing support for messaging? May as well get a Motorola at this point, since they also only use Google apps. Samsung got me years ago because all their apps were much cleaner and more useful than the Google versions I would disable every time I got a phone. Every year they take something else away as an "improvement". Maybe for their shareholders but they suck.

Literally have been eyeing a switch since samsung wants to go after Google apps so hard.

I dont care what deals they made to have Gemini and other BS features on their phones, if its at the cost of samsung apps getting pushed out, im out.

Samsung should have made a deal with microsoft to really balance things out than to be influenced by google this hard.

I'm just totally mad at this point if I wanted to use Google messaging I would have right from the start. I feel like you're taking away my choices Google is a Monopoly. I have a cheap blue phone that I use just for reselling and it has Google messaging and it sucks

So upset!! Why get rid of our Samsung messages its not fair. Now our phones are going to look terrible, WHY cause we want be able to use our Samsung themes with our messages. Thats not fair. I might as well go to Apple now , Wow!! I can't believe I'm saying this. I love Samsung

I’ve been a Samsung user since the early Galaxy days and chose Samsung specifically for its customization and more personal experience.

Samsung Messages has always been part of that. It looks clean, feels organized, and matches the design of the phone. I’ve also spent money on themes, fonts, and emojis that made my device feel cohesive and truly mine.

Replacing it with Google Messages takes that away. The app does not match Samsung’s design, has very limited customization, and feels out of place on a Samsung device.

What’s most frustrating is that users are losing features they genuinely like and choose to use, along with access to paid content, with no compatibility or compensation. That does not feel fair to long-time customers who invested in the Samsung experience.

This change makes Samsung feel more like iPhone, less personal and more restricted, which is exactly why many of us chose Samsung in the first place.

At the very least, there should be:

Support for Samsung themes and fonts
Compatibility for purchased emojis and stickers
Credit or compensation for paid content

Please reconsider this decision or provide a transition that respects your customers.

So, let me get this straight, you don't want to use Google apps on a Samsung device, but you will use Google apps on any other device? You do realize that Android is a Google platform, not a Microsoft one?

I'm gonna gripe here because WHY ARE THEY FORCING US TO SWITCH TO GOOGLE MESSENGWR? I swear I'm going to move my service to some 3rd party nobody, at this rate. We pay for Samsung for the features, but if they are going to sell us out to make EVERYTHING Google, then I'm out. I DON'T WANT GOOGLE MESSENGER. NO ONE DOES.

I'm with ya! I posted about this, too. The privacy issue is one of my biggest concerns. I'm sick of the monopoly and tired of Samsung forcing their customers to everything Google!
