Any recommendations on message apps for Z Flip 7?

Any recommendations on message apps? I don't want to use Google, I'd buy a pixel if I did wanted to use it. I immediately got rid of it when I bought this flip 7, did not like it at all. I wish Samsung kept their message app and create a better one instead, but whatever I guess.

I have a few that I've tried, and here's the best ones for different things you might looking for:

Textra SMS for max customizable options and power users

Pulse SMS for syncing across tablets and pc

Signal for security and privacy

Whatsapp is also an option if you just want to avoid SMS/rcs texting entirely and/or consistently send large files

I'm so glad you posted this! I thought I had deleted something. I did not realize that Samsung removed the app. I don't like Google messaging.

You're able to download the Samsung Message app on their store. That's what I did. There's comments here stating that Samsung isn't forcing you to use Google, but it's forced when it's pre-downloaded on the newer phones, which a lot of people didn't notice, but I was lucky enough to. The least they could have done was have both and let you chose by putting a notice.

Same with Signal and Tel*gram (which is apparently a bad word, for some reason)

Let us know, there are other messanger apps but not samsung.
