Camera light up notification

I have the setup for the notification to flicker on the cover display and my camera but I never get the camera display to blink the color that I chose can anybody help me out.

Which device you’re using (Z Flip or Z Fold, and the model)?
Which One UI version you’re running? (Settings > About phone > Software information)
Are you expecting the camera flash to blink a color, or the cover screen/edge lighting?

I am using the Samsung z fold 7fe and I just recently updated it to the most recent version of the software

Thanks for confirming you’re using the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and that it’s fully up to date.
What you’re seeing is expected behavior. The rear camera flash can only blink white and doesn’t support color changes due to hardware limitations. The color you selected applies only to screen-based effects, like edge lighting or cover screen notifications.
For the best results, we recommend using Edge lighting/Screen flash for colored alerts and the camera flash only if you want a white blink.
