I have a Thunderbolt hub connected to a wired network. I noticed that recently when I connect, my computer connects via wifi, not the wired connection. When I check my available connections, ethernet doesn't even show as an option. When I check device manager, it doesn't show an ethernet adapter, though I know it has one.

I used Samsung's site to check for drivers and downloaded/repaired the Realtek USB_LAN driver. It goes through a process of repairing, but once done (and after rebooting), the hardware still doesn't show in the device manager.

Any solutions/suggestions? I specifically bought this thunderbolt dock so I could use the wired connection and now it doesn't work.

User error. I had it plugged into the wrong port. I assumed the USB-C and Thunderbolt ports were interchangeable, but that's not the case apparently.
