M8 Monitor with a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2013)

I can not get the subject Mac to work with the M8 monitor, has anyone successfully accomplished this? Thanks in advance!

2560x1600 is not listed as an accepted resolution in the M8 manual.

Thank you for the response, I don't get how monitors and computer negotiate what resolution to use, the apple web site also says " Dual display and video mirroring:
Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display and up to 2560 by 1600 pixels on up to two external displays, at millions of colors" so there should be a way to adjust resolution so it would work?

The Intel HD 4000 is listed as 2560x1600 on the DisplayPort and 1920x1080 on HDMI.

No 4K in this GPU.

The M5 does 1920x1080 native.
