It was working fine then suddenly picture went black. Only the backlight is on. The menu does not appear at all anymore. A day later when turning on for the first time it shows the "no signal detected" for a brief moment but then goes back to black. Could this be a power supply issue? I have tried different outlets but not a different ac adapter. Also, my PC does still detect when connected via Display Port and Hdmi.

Given your description, here are some possible causes and troubleshooting steps for your Samsung C32G7 monitor issue:

Possible Causes

1. Faulty Power Supply or AC Adapter:
The backlight working but no display could indicate a power issue. If the power adapter isn't supplying enough voltage, the monitor might partially function.

2. Internal Hardware Issue (T-Con Board or Main Board):
A defective timing controller (T-Con) board or main board could prevent the monitor from displaying an image.

3. Firmware Corruption:
If the firmware became corrupted, it could cause the monitor to malfunction, including the inability to show the OSD.

4. Panel Damage:
Although less likely given that backlight functions, damage to the display panel can cause similar symptoms.

5. Display Signal Issue:
There could be an issue with the video input controller inside the monitor even though your PC detects it.

---

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Try a Different AC Adapter:
Check if the monitor works with a known working power adapter of the same voltage and amperage.

2. Perform a Factory Reset (If Accessible):

A new power adapter did not fix this issue. I am unable to restore to factory settings since I have no visual of the menu. I have sent the monitor in for repairs.
