I guess my point isn't coming across. Go look for the specs I want and there 90% 27 inch and 5 to 10% is 32 to 38 inch. But 1440p is in every size shape and brand that's what im upset at. Even cell phones dropped there specs to mostly to 1440p or 1800p the last true Ultra 4k phone was the iPhone 14 pro max. Or 13 pro max one of those. My Samsung s24 Ultra is only a 2k and has no hdr native, but yet the note 3 or 4 did. So why is everyone downgrading the specs. On everything. ?

Why 1440P??

Can anyone explain to me why 99% of the monitors are being made in 1440P or 1800P or anything but ULTRA 4K HDR 1000!?? I'm a guy who loves bright 1600 to 2400 nit HDR 1000 Ultra 4K or 8K screens, but if I want that, I have to use an Apple Monitor or a TV!! Which has 60 fps or 120 at best. Which is ok with 120 but why can't I get a MONITOR with Apple specs?

So, use an Apple monitor. It's obviously compatible.

I was being sarcastic. But Apple Monitors does have the best. We need it for the PC. 1440P is **bleep**!

Where is the sarcasm? Seems like a pretty straightforward remark to me. So, look for a monitor wirh the specs you want. There is absolutely no requrement that your computer and monitor be the same brand. For years people who had particular requirements went out and bought the monitor that met their needs. Most computer manufacturers bundle the least expensive, economical monitor with their computers. These monitors are perfectly acceptible for the majority of users. If Samsung does not want to make a higher resolution monitor, that is thheir prerogative. Obviously they have decided to not be in the specialty monitor business.

Umm.. do your research on Ultra 4K HDR monitors then? No need to HAVE a Samsung monitor. There's many other alternatives!

Maybe the manufacturers (who, presumably, know better than the user) have decided that higher than 1440 was impractical. There must be a reason everyone decided to go back to that (perhaps because it's a small market?). I am using a 14 year old monitor that was very advanced for the time it was purchased, and it goes as high as 1920x1080 (I keep it at 1440) and it is clear and everything on it is well defined. Never had a single problem with it and no burn-in, stutter, or wiggle. It also depends on the limitations of one's graphics card. If there a few boards capable of that resolution, there won't be many monitors that are. No one is putting a higher end graphics card in standard computers. One can pay after-market to put in their own. Gaming computers might, but they would probably either come with high-res gaming monitors or come without monitors so one could choose and purchase their own. Gaming computers usually don't come bundled. So, maybe instead of complaining about Samsung, complain to all the manufacturers.
