I am about a year and a half into owning my Samsung Odyssey G80SD 32" and I've started to experience display issues that I feel might be an instable display port or firmware.

Issues:

A brief static flash appears in the center, bottom, or right side of the screen.

At random, the entire screen goes black for 1–2 seconds.

The static flash looks similar to a momentary signal integrity drop from the display port.

On HDMI 2.1, I do not get the static flash, but I still get occasional full black‑screen events.

Occasionally failing to wake from sleep resulting in DP port link or HDMI not detecting PC. (Fix) You have to unplug the DP or HDMI from the Samsung Odyssey G80SD to resolve it as simply unplugging from the GPU doesn't seem to do anything.

Cables Tested: I’ve tried multiple DisplayPort cables from Cable Matters and StarTech (DP 1.4a through DP 2.1), as well as several HDMI 2.1 cables. The behavior persists across all of them.

Hardware Setup:

GPU: MSI RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X (Driver 581.80) Newer drivers cause instability in **bleep** Divers 2.

Monitor: Samsung Odyssey G80SD 32"

Firmware: 2115

Addtional info:

I absolutely adore this display; I haven't had any dead pixels or any burn in on the display. I use this display every day and always turn the display off when I leave the room.

I am hoping someone has some sort of insight into what maybe the issue weather that's a firmware issue with firmware 2115 or perhaps the display port on the monitor is starting to fail.
I have tested this display with my RTX 4060 on my other PC and still had the same issues.
