Hey guys. I got a firmware update on my 34" Samsung Odyssey Oled G8 yesterday. I mainly use it with my PS5 pro. before the update it worked flawlessly, had VRR enabled, 120hz, Adaptive Sync and all goodies. The image was centered of course as PS5 doesn't support UW monitors. Now to the issue. After the update the image got stretched out (image size issue ofc) and the only way to fix it is to disable the game mode. Unfortunately that means the monitor becomes a useless screen with VRR off, 120hz off, Adaptive Sync diabled and PS5 pro not allowing to set 1440p as resolution. Is there a way I am missing to set the image size back to 16:9 in Game mode. I wouldn't believe Samsung devs would push this update with these kind of limitations while they were not there before the update. Would appreciate any help here.

Same here and I’m really frustrated. The monitor wasn’t cheap, and playing on PS5 with this is almost unplayable now!

Ok guys, after checking basically every possible menu in this monitor, I found a solution. It's not what we had before, but it will do for now. What you need to do is open the sources menu (the button on the top left side of the remote), select PS5 listed in it, hold the OK (big round one on the remote) button until it opens the edit menu. You'll see it says Icon, change it to PC. It's wery weird that they named it Icon while it basically changes how the monitor recognizes the source. You can change the name of the source however you want, just the icon must be PC. After this you can enable the game mode, open game mode settings menu (purple toolbar) and you'll see now aspect ratio enabled in it, select and set it to 16:9. This will bring back the correct resolution, 120hz refresh rate and aspect ratio, but unfortunately VRR will stay disabled as PS5 doesn't recognize this as 1440p, instead it sees this as 2560p. I know how frustrating this is, especially since I bought it just a couple of months ago, but this will do for now until I get rid of it and buy something else. This will be my first and last Samsung monitor. Thanks for the wonderful customer service dear Samsung.
