Hi,
Power cord and cable are in good condition.
All self-diagnostic tests passed.
Current version: 2123.

I installed Picom, a compositor which adds visual effects and aesthetic enhancements to Linux window managers, and I suspect it may be causing the flickering. The issue occurs occasionally without warning so I can’t confirm yet. I’ve disabled it and will update.

Thank you.

This OLED monitor, the Odyssey G8 OLED 240HZ monitor, is less than a year old and is acting strangely.

Please see the Youtube video.

https://youtu.be/bqnuIWwx2SU

I'm not sure whether this is software or hardware problem. Please advise.

Thank you.

Hello suy,

we're sorry to hear about the "glitching" concern being reported. We would like to ask some additional questions and provide the best assistance possible. To start, from the video provided it can potentially be a concern caused by a loose or damaged connecting cable or improperly being connected to a power source. Have you checked the connecting cable or power cord? If any damage is identified you will need to have them replaced.

Can you verify you're currently running the latest software? Please use this link https://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/ for assistance with checking the software.

The final option to determine if this in fact is software or hardware related is to perform a picture test on the monitor. Some of our monitors have the Picture test option which can be found by navigating to Settings (All Settings) > Support > Self Diagnosis (Device Care > Self Diagnosis) then select Picture Test.

During the Picture test, if the issue is still persistent you will need to have the monitor serviced, and we can assist you with that aspect directly via Private Message.

***Please include your full model code, serial number and current software version when reaching out to any moderator for further assistance.
