topic Samsung Odyssey G8 in Monitors and Memory

Hi Samsung Support Team,

I am a user of the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 monitor (Model Code: LS32DG802SUXDU). I am using this monitor connected to a Mac Mini via HDMI, and I have an external soundbar (Polk Magni Mini) connected for my audio setup.

I would like to submit a feature request for a future Tizen OS firmware update.

Currently, the monitor frequently and automatically switches the audio output back to its internal speakers whenever the connected computer wakes up from sleep or is restarted. This overrides my system settings and forces me to manually change the audio output device back to my external soundbar multiple times a day.

My request:

Please add a toggle in the monitor's Sound Settings that allows users to permanently disable the internal monitor speakers.

If the internal speakers could be turned off completely via software, the monitor would stop advertising itself as an audio output device to the connected OS (macOS/Windows). This would completely fix the annoying issue of automatic audio switching and ensure that the audio stays routed to our preferred external audio systems (like soundbars or receivers) without interruptions.

This small quality-of-life update would drastically improve the user experience for everyone using the Odyssey OLED G8 as a premium workstation or gaming setup with high-end external audio.

Thank you for your time and for listening to user feedback.

Best regards,
