I have galaxy buds 33AA and they were working fine till yesterday. I tried unpairing and pairing them again. Tried increasing the bud volume and it's to the max level. Increased the media volume and nothing ..found one solution online in developers option and diasbled absolute volume sync and still nothing. I don't have audio media sync in the blutooth advance setting so that's not an option. My phone is Galaxy S10+

I have had my Gear IconX 2018 for a couple of months now and the left ear bud has what seemed to be is stopped working, but it is just a very low volume. when I listen to music or listen to something I only hear stuff out of my right ear bud. I don't know what to do and they were my favorite pair of head phones. Does anyone know what to do.

Hey, so earlier today I had the same issue with my left ear bud. I had just gotten them for Christmas and have only used them for a day. I researched the issue on this model, but couldn't find a solution. However, on the older models, some said to take out the black screen and clean it. As I was ready to send them back to Samsung anyway and get new ones, I went ahead and tried it out, even though I BARELY used them. I took the screen out and rubbed some type of adhesive off the screen (not ear wax). I also blew into the ear bud, just to make sure nothing was in there. I then placed the screen back on and WALAA! IT FIXED THE ISSUE! I doont how it fixed it, even I used it for just 1 day, but you can go ahead and give it a try. You could also try the placing the screen in hot water trick. Let me know if it works for you. 🙂

Thanks for that. Fixed it for me too. Makes me wonder what the "adhesive" actually was? I wonder if it's there to hold the little black screen on the earpiece but under heat it goes gooey and blocks the speaker?

Not both ear pieces just the left one. According to the prior posts there seems to be a natural sound barrier being created by the adhesive utilized in manufacturing to keep the black filter/screen in place. My concern is that by cleaning and or submerging the screen in hot water this will render the screen unsecure and ultimately result in it becoming dislodged or possibly end up in someone's ear canal which sounds pretty dangerous.

What would you suggest as this sounds like a design flaw..? Also can you reference your support database to see if there are more cases with this issue and see if there is a safer workaround or fix that doesn't involve removing the screen?

Hi everyone,

Like everyone here, I was having the same issue with my iconx. I pulled off the black screen like everyone suggested, somehow I did my differently because underneath the black screen was a thin white film between the black screen and the earbud bud. I took that off completely and replace the thin black screen. Here are the steps I took along with a pic of the piece I'm referring to.

1. removed thin black screen ( I used a letter opener to remove mine)

2. removed thin white paper or film (not sure what it is)

3. cleaned excess glue from earbud

4. re-apply black screen only

It really works I was skeptical. Now I wonder will I have to do the same to my right ear anytime soon?

Can't add pic, it is too big..lol and I took it with my note8

How is your company not seeing that clearly there's an issue? I've swapped my pair 3 times for the same issue and everytime the right side goes out. I take such good care of them too, but it feels like if I sneeze somehow theyret not going to work . Now I'm going to have to rely on your warranty exchange process and hope to God you don't "try to fix it" and have this happen again a couple of weeks later.
