Buds Pro2 static noise in left earbud

I have the Buds Pro2, and over the last few weeks, the right bud has been making a static sound; it isn't all the time, but once it starts, it is very irritating and hangs around for a while, making listening to the earbuds unbearable.

I have just spoken to Support about this and been told that my earbuds would need to be taken to a repair centre, but because they are over a year old, they are saying they are out of warranty.

I feel very frustrated that I will have to pay for this year because they are only just over a year old; I did not get them as a free gift, etc.; instead, I paid full retail, so for them to start deteriorating after just a year of use is incredibly frustrating.

Has anyone else had this issue and managed to fix it without taking the buds in for a repair?

Has anyone else taken buds out of warranty? If so, what was the cost of a repair?

I am so frustrated by the lack of help from Samsung (beyond telling me to pay them to sort it) that I am tempted to trade them in and buy a product from a different brand.
