Is Samsung financing being discontinued?

I received an email, saying that TD Bank and Samsung are ending their partnership. Did anyone else receive this email. I called to confirm this with TD Bank cs. They will be closing my and other user accounts. I'm upset I have 6 yrs of credit history being erased

The site issues I remember happening. It was when they transitioned to the new website./Portal. I wish there was a way to transition people's accounts to a another bank without having to close accounts.

The screenshot you provided states that you just need to update your payment method before January 30th to prevent account termination.

Yes you are correct I did that, but I also spoke to TD Bank C.S. I specifically asked could I use that financing account with another retailer listed in the website. I was told "your account will be closed and lose access to the credit line" so maybe Samsung is going with another bank for financing?

I didn't get the email, but I got the exact same thing as a pop-up when I tried to buy a new phone this morning using Samsung financing

I didn't receive the email, but I received a letter from the bank with the same meaning. I Googled it, and only found this threat, nothing else. The last time I used the credit line was a week ago on Black Friday, and there were no issues.

I was thinking of upgrading to the S24 ultra and I got this also just now. I am assuming they are going with another bank/creditor for their financing program.

I received the email and the letter just today. Yes, they are discontinuing their partnership. And I agree with you. My years of credit history will be erased. Will this have a negative impact on my credit? I used to love samsung but as of late, I've been having so many issues with them. I'm thinking of going to a different eco system. Maybe Google. Idk, I've been a samsung user for years and never wanted to switch. But this is just outright dumb

I tried placing an order yesterday for a TV because I received a letter informing me that as of the end of December they will no longer be providing the financing. I thought I would get a TV before it's no longer an option. I clicked Samsung financing multiple times, but it just kept taking me back to the main order page. I did a chat, and she was clueless as to what was going on. Even though the option is still there, I don't think we're able to take advantage of Samsung financing anymore.

I got a letter today saying the are dropping it 12.31.24. You can continue to pay off what you have as normal but the account will. Have heard that they will be using AFFIRM but I have not been able to confirm. Affirm is good and super easy to deal with compared to TD but I don't really like that I will lose $10,000 worth of available credit overnight it dings your credit no matter what the circumstances are.

Exactly,that's the upsetting part losing credit access and the closing of an account.

I got a letter in the mail that said the same thing. So after the 31st of December, Samsung financing will not be available for purchasing anything on Samsung website.

Sigh, and I'm waiting for the S25U to come out to use the financing option again.

I hope that Samsung will transfer the credit over to another institution.

Most likely they'll use another bank that will make you apply all over again sadly unless the new bank purchase those accounts from TD Bank
