Can it be made transparent? The new update made it blue and it's hiding my face.

Yes. Just hold it until the settings option pops up. Then you can toggle the background to remove the blue.

Weird. I didn't have a problem with it. Maybe try changing widgets? Or just removing and adding the same one again? Sorry I'm not more helpful.

Some of the weather widgets have transparency options, others don't. The ones that have transparency options will appear grey in the widget selector. Anything with an actual image will not be transparent. You also have the ability to move the widget to a location where it's not covering your face.
