Once again I'm asking, is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that after the most recent security update, the search function in the phone settings do not work properly? Every time I search for something that I know is there it comes up with either no results or incorrect results. For example, I search for USB, get nothing except as shown in the screen shot. I have done this search before and came up with the correct setting in developer options. Some searches come up fine, but don't offer complete results for settings I *know* are there and know where they are, but sometimes it's just easier to search, than click through multiple menus.

Odd. That's the way I expect it to work and it doesnt, as you can see. This is only since the secuity update. The really odd thing is that other searches come up fine and if I tap on most of the previous searches, they will come up correctly.

So, maybe the Semantic Search Core is related to the advanced AI, and since the A54 does not have advanced AI, that's probably why I do not have the setting. It's very frustrating. I cleared the phone's cache immediately after the update, so I shouldn't be having problems. As I said, in most cases, I know where a setting is located, it's just easy to search sometimes. Even so, even when the search term is not found (as pictured above), the search is not saved in the search history. I just put in an error report after rebooting and trying the search again. Hopefully, they are not going to come back and tell me they could not replicate the issue. However, it does look as if it's just me having the issue. I wish someone with an A series phone would chime in here.

As I said, that setting may be strictly related to the AI. I guess I'll just have to remember where all the settings are until either I or support figures it out. It's not worth a reset just for this one issue. I just cleared the phone's cache again, and got no improvement. It's a mystery why this - and only this - should have been affected by a security update.

The update caused the problem. Unlike, others, though, I know how to put in an error report and I know how to work around the issue until it's either fixed or I decide to reset. It's only a minor inconvenience, at the moment and I wouldn't even consider getting a new device for a minor issue. I didn't ask for advice, I asked if anyone else was having the same issue.
