I use to use the button gestures before Standard Android was introduced.

It amazes how many Samsung people use buttons still. What is going to happen in Ui 8.5 on the S26 series when the default goes to swipe out of the box. People are going to go nuts.

Out of the box on the S26 series default will be swipe gestures.

1. Swipe from side and bottom is the only right answer 😉
2. Usually switch automatically sunrise/sunset.

However, currently just dark mode because my wallpaper looks better with dark elements.

I also used to use the Samsung swipe-up gestures. I switched for consistent muscle memory between Samsung and non-Samsung devices. I have the same navigation on all of my devices and don't have to think about it.

I am of the opinion that swipe from bottom/side is the most natural navigation method for a card-based interface on a mobile device.

I experienced it for the first time in 2012 on my Jailbroken iPhone 4S (running Zephyr) and immediately realized "this is how mobile phones are supposed to work." Everything else feels slow and clunky to me.

Samsung in particular has put a lot of effort into smoothness and responsiveness of their software. Buttons make everything so much more abrupt and less fluid, and it just sucks the life out of One UI, imo.
