Samsung Gallery mixes pictures and videos together. What we really want is a separate video gallery like the old Samsung Video Library combined with Samsung Video Player. That setup was perfect.
Now it’s gone. Yes, we can still watch videos using Samsung Video Player, but when your videos are mixed with 5,000 photos, it’s not easy to find the one you want.
If you open Gallery and tap Menu > Videos (you can even add it as a shortcut to the home screen), all videos are still mixed together. The only sorting option is by date there’s no option to sort by folder name.
Folders are visible in Gallery, but they’re mixed with picture folders, which makes it less convenient.
An alternative is MX Player, but it’s not as smooth as Samsung Video Player.
