there are a few options for translation during calls, probably not exactly what you're looking for, but its an alternative!

Translation for Video Calls

I’m posting this in hopes that someone in development might see it. I have been an iPhone and Apple products user for more than a decade now. Year after year I watch as Samsung releases amazing new technology and iPhone seems to be behind most of the time. This year with the release of the S26 Ultra might be the closest I’ve ever came to making a complete device switch to all Samsung products. I’d be getting a phone, watch, Galaxy buds pro 4 and a tablet,so it would be a big investment. The only thing stopping this is one area that Samsung can’t seem to compete with iPhone at all and I’m not sure if it’s a lack of interest or a lack of ability. iPhone has an integrated video chatting option. We all know what FaceTime Is. With Samsung you have to download 3rd party apps and that doesn’t bother me really, but my problem is none of the other apps can do what my FaceTime can when it comes to translating live video calls. I’m in a long distance relationship and we speak two different languages. Our favorite way to communicate when we are apart is with FaceTime. We get to see each other and with live translated subtitles we can understand each other without having to listen to a robot voice repeat what they are saying. Samsung itself offers nothing like this for video calls. None of their partners offer anything like this either, not for free. The only thing that has came close is Google meet, but that feature only works if both parties have a business account and are willing to pay almost $30 a month to use it. It’s also more complicated than FaceTime is. So I would love if either Samsung would develop something to finally compete with that or if they would work with their partners to make a free option that is easy to use. I can’t justify spending thousands to switch all my devices and then to have to pay monthly to use a feature I get for free now.
