Honestly, I’m not mad that Samsung is doing away with Samsung Messages. 👀 Moving everyone to Google Messages actually makes sense — it’s faster, smarter, and way more connected. Between RCS features (read receipts, typing indicators, better group chats), message backups, and cross-device syncing, it’s a big upgrade from the old setup. Plus, it means Android users are finally getting on the same page, no matter what phone you have.

Took Samsung long enough to make the jump, but I’m here for it. 💬🔥

The whole point is to keep the experience Samsung. Now I have to learn how to use the Google message app which sux btw. No skin customization, and as bland as snow. 🙏 Samsung intergrate or find another way.

I know how to use a message system but all I have ever known from the galaxy s3 to s24 ultra has been Samsung. Its the seamlessness I am talking about. Lack of customization is a clear down grade

In settings than down to apps scroll down to samsung messages tap than scroll down tap storage

Literally the only thing I don't get and can't do in Samsung Messages is React I get typing indicators no matter what type of phone it comes from as long as chats are turned on I get read receipts that actuality says DELIVERED/READ quick and easy not having to look for/count checks and wait for it to change color

You can, but if it came with your phone and you didn't sideload it, it can't be uninstalled, as I understand it. It will simply disappear in July - my guess is that is when OneUI8.5 will be ready for distribution.
