Blood pressure option not showing in Health Monitor app

I'm in the USA using a Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy S26 Ultra...

I have all software and apps updated on both phone and watch. This includes apps from the Galaxy Store

I am not seeing a blood pressure option in Samsung Health Monitor on phone or watch

The Health Monitor app on my phones show to be installed by Smart Switch. Should I uninstall it and then try to find it on Galaxy Store to reinstall it. Note: I went to the Galaxy Store to find the Health Monitor app and it did not appear. Maybe because it is already installed?

They just started deploying the BP monitor, it was not going to be instant for everyone. The health monitor app needs updating and, likely, the watches as well to turn on the sensors. You will get it when it's ready for your device.

It doesn't help the matter of impatience when a web search does not inform you that it is rolling out. All I've seen is that BP is now available in the US.

Maybe if Samsung made it known that it isn't fully availble yet?

the articles I have read are it's currently rolling out to Watch 4 and up.

You are asking too much from Samsung to inform people their press release is pretty ambiguous of when to expect it on each generation of Galaxy watches.

You can read their press release in the discovery tab in the members app.

What Samsung support told me was it probably being updated as part of the April security update! Not sure but that's what they think! I have the ultra s25 phone & the ultra 7 watch! I used the side load that Dante 63 made! But Samsung made it so you can't do side load apps when android 16 upgraded on phones! After that was unable to use side loaded BP in Samsung health! It's actually also part of the ECG app, that's were you actually take your BP! It really worked good & match my regular cuff! Which omron evol box cuff can Bluetooth feed Samsung Health! Which is nice also!

In order to sideload apps in Android 16, you must temporarily disable Autoblocker in Settings >Security and privacy >Auto Blocker.

With android 16 it won't let you side load the Blood Pressure app from Dante 63 it's blocked by country! Dante 63 did a big article on what Samsung did to prevent people from using the side load BP APP & ECG UPDATE!

Wow, very interesting. I had Dante's app up and running on my previous watch and phone. It was very impressive. I'm glad to learn that Samsung finally got permission from the FDA to release it here in the USA.

Different updates roll out at different times. The app, evidently, was updated before your watch was. Just wait, you will get the update.

Either way, one's an app, the other is a device. Different development teams and deployment. You will still get it.

Yeah I got the update on my watch 6 but the phone app also needs to be updated which it is not yet. So still can't set it up

Samsung health monitor

I got the notice to update the app in order to track blood pressure with my watch. It appeared to update the app on both my watch and phone. My watch tells me to see the app on my phone in order to set things up, but the app on my phone doesn't seem to be upgraded. What do I need to do?
