Phone wants to use Gmail to log in to Samsung account

Windows computer:
I have installed samsung notes
I have installed samsung account
I have created an account.

I have a galaxy note 9.
Notes is install and functioning.
I cannot install samsung account

The phone wants to use the gmail address to log into my samsung account
I did not create a samsung account with my gmail address.
I do not want to use gmail for log in to my samsung account
How do I fix this?

Do you use legacy software and the native version installed in each. Are you using the same model and trim..For example, when it was a product...outlook express vs Outlook vs outlook.com vs outlook 365...

This is done when your notes is booted and handshakes with the Google servers, interestingly Gmail and Google docs suite is quite like the pre-copilot Microsoft 365 suite equivalent. And... the server paths used to complete your specific task and this example will include old server hierarchy hidden away never really changed... just repositioned in coding structure

Does it want you to log in with your GMail account, or asking you to log in with Google? Two different things. You can Log into your Samsung account using Google or with your Samsung credentials. If your phone is signed into your Google account, it's already linked to your Samsung account, regardless of whether you used GMail as your Samsung account. You can tap the popup to log in with Google, ir you can dismiss that popup and log in with your Samsung credentials.

PHONE: i did not create a samsung account on the phone, so no password,...
i installed notes.
I attempted to install the samsung account app ... it will not install...

I did NOT give any permission to link the gmail address with anything samsung.

I created a samsung account using my computer. with a different email address.

And now, since i cannot log into the samsung account on my phone, the computer cannot see the sync folder.

I do not want my gmail address used for anything but the android **bleep**.

Is there a way to separate the gmail address from the samsung account??

As I said, logging in with Google is an option offered, but you can get rid of that popup and just log into your Samsung account using your Samsung credentials. Many apps, either through their websites or through their apps allow login with Google, If you do not want to log in with Google, then don't. In most cases you get an option - log in with Google, login with Facebook or log in with email. Choose the email option.

When you initiated your phone, you would have had to log into a Samsung account (or is that what you are trying to do now?) for it to be activated.

I did not create a samsung account in the beginning.

And now there is not a way to log into the samsung account.

no option is presented in the notes app.

Samsung offers it as an alternative login. Samsung and Google have a symbiotic relationship. Samsung is NOT the only entity that allows you to log in with Google.

This is the DoorDash option: Many sites will give you this option, you can choose another login method besides Google. You can do it with Samsung as well. I do it all the time, the sign in with Google page comes up and I dismiss it and log in with my credentials. If you are seeing a screen similar to the second picture, just put in the email address that you created your Samsung account with and hit next and then you will be prompted for your password.

I know many things allow for gmail login..

I DID NOT LOG INTO SAMSUNG WITH A GMAIL ADDRESS....

It appears the samsung **bleep** stole my gmail/android connection .

I did not enter a password for samsung.... If my gmail password was used it is a privacy violation.

So, i have removed most all samsung **bleep** on the phone.....

They did no such thing. They offer you the option to log in with either your credentials or with Google. You can always log your phone out of that particular Samsung account and create a new one with new credentials, but you will still get the option to log in with Google - WHICH YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO. You did not provide a screen shot of what you are seeing, so I can't properly assist you in bypassing. Since I am already logged into my Samsung (and Google) accounts on my phone, I don't see the login screen. I only get the invitation to sign in with Google when I sign into my Samsung account on my computer. In which case, I put in the email address associated with my Samsung account, tap next and put in my Samsung password. If you had a pre-populated password, you probably had a password manager set to automatically populate the password field and it entered Google's password. I just logged into my Samsung account on my computer, got the screen in my second photo, used my SAMSUNG email, clicked next, and entered my SAMSUNG password. Then 2FA chimed in and I had to verify with my phone that it was me logging in and enter the code that appeared on my screen.

When I initially signed into my account ON MY PHONE in order to set it up, I was not presented with a sign in with Google screen. Just entered my Samsung email and password. So, I really don't know what you are seeing and where.

As for deleting everything related to Samsung on your phone, what's the point of having a Samsung phone then? You said you needed to log into your Samsung account to sync your Samsung notes on your computer with your phone. You will not be able to do that if you are not logged into your Samsung account. There will always be some component of Google in Samsung, as #1 it's an Android phone, and #2 Samsung and Google have a symbiotic partnership. when using notes i cannot login to the actual samsung account i created with my computer. No pop-ups. No menu choices...

I cannot start/install samsung account.... not found on the phone. Cannot install from google store.

I attempted to install samsung cloud and was required to login using the gmail address... NO WAY TO CHANGE THAT.

I have not tried to login with that address because i do NOT know the password used when my gmail information was stolen. And i have no more need to have three apps on my phone that require 15 step authentication every time i try to open them.

I have used samsung phones for years.... I like the button placement... Don't like the **bleep** motorola and apple designs.

I DO NOT NEED ANY SAMSUNG APP **bleep** TO USE THE PHONE AS A PHONE....

And after reading all the complaints about the samsung apps not working, i am wary of all samsung has put on the phone for its pleasure....

So, attempting to get rid of, stop, all such intrusive garbage... just like i have removed all google **bleep** that i have no need for and that only tracks my activities, and phones home, and wastes energy....

sad i cannot uninstall all the bixby stupidity...

Today, I have learned that samsung is no different than microslop, and apple, etc with their distain for their customers' concerns....

How on earth does an AI censor bot on a USER forum equate to being "woke", or prove that Samsung doesn't care about customer support (they don't, but that's a different issue)? Did you actually ever contact Samsung about your issue? You are losing your mind over nothing. If you hate the big, bad, evil Google - then I suggest you switch to Apple.
