Yes, those features are requested alot I imagine. Sending feedback to Google on feature requests is the best way to get them to consider new features.

How about date time stamp next to the messages instead having to swipe or three dot around and even then it doesn't add it to the side of the messages. Do better please

Google messages is a pile of clunky, unusable frustrating junk bolted onto an app that was meant to be easy, useful sms quick, simple and fun experience. Google messages is none of that and more! Many are refusing to use it. Me included. I have been downloading and running various apps side by side parallel, customizing and testing apps that send quality images, hyperlinks, emojis using samsung system styles. So far, I have found "Handcent" SMS messaging app to do everything Samsung messages did. The UI isnt as smooth and appealing as Samsung messages, but feels and operates closest to what I am traditionally used to. Google messages and Samsung have forced this change upon us--but we will not be forced to comply. My mind is made up this move has left a bad taste in my mouth for both service providers.

What are you talking about? Every message is time stamped. The chat, before being opened has the date. Each chat, once opened has the time stamp right underneath said text. The date and time of the first text in a chat on any given day is right above the text stream. No tapping the three dots required.

Google messages is near perfect. Unproblematic, clean and it works.
