If you're looking to change your mobile phone number then this answer would depend.

The best way to change your phone number is to speak with your carrier and request a change to your phone number.

If your phone supports eSim technology it may also be possible to register a new phone number via your provider's app or through speaking with one of their support team members.

If you would like to add an additional phone number without a ton of effort it is worth noting there are many apps available on the Google Play and Samsung Galaxy Stores. One app I used for a bit was TextNow, however, it is only available to residents of the United States or Canada.
