Did her granddaughter ever sign into the first tablet and not sign out? Also can she ask for the password then sign out? Or ask her granddaughter to check her device to see if your grandma's device is listed and have her sign that device out.

My elderly mother just replaced her Samsung tablet with a Galaxy A8 tablet she bought at Costco. After transferring the data to new tablet she says she was denied access with a notification there was a Samsung account in her grandaughters name. Her granddaughter used to live with. Assuming the description from my mother is accurate, besides leaving the country, what is the solution?
