S pen discharging

I've had a Tab S8 plus for 3 weeks. This past 4 or 5 days I've noticed the S pen discharges when the tablet is off. I make sure it's at 100% when I power it down. When I turn it back on the next day it's down anywhere from 20% or a little more. Why would it discharge while off? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. @LongHiker

That's normal. The S-Pen itself is not off and I'm guessing the capacitor discharges as it it was connected. Discharging almost completely overnight is normal operation.
