I know dropping apps on top to create a folder can be finicky because the app below will move around, so you sometimes have to go as slowly as possible. Otherwise, I'm not sure why it's happened to you. Sorry, I don't have more to offer.

I have an a8 with 128 gig. Android 14. I can no longer add icons and link icons to existing folders. Under the folder I can only add from my apps by pressing the ÷. Has anyone seen this?

It sounds like the home screen is locked. Go to the home screen settings and unlock it, and it should work now.

Try dropping the item that you want to add to a folder but can't, to the desktop and then from there, drag it into the folder. Happens to me at times as well but this always works.

I've had this same problem (unable to add apps to an existing folder). My screen is unlocked, I've moved folder to my Home Page, I hover the app over & around the folder slowly, up to ~30 seconds, but still NO success. For a while I was able to start from scratch, taking all apps out of the existing folder and adding them back in, but now, once I add 2 apps to a folder, I can't add anymore. It is SOOO frustrating. I've had an S24 Ultra since March 2, 2024.

Funny, I was about to post on this again. I figured out how to add apps. Open the folder, top right hit the + then choose the app. I still haven't figured out how to add links to the folder. I have a feeling they took that option out.

OK, I finally figured out how to get link icons into a group!!! Drag the c
Link or regular icon and pull it left or right to the box. It takes a few tries, but once on the box, it will open the box and you can let go of the link icon. This was driving me nuts.
