Tab a9 shows no sign of life.

I just got my daughter the tab a9 for Christmas and today she let it die. I go to charge it, shows the circle with the lighting bolt. I walk away thinking it's going to charge. I check on it and the screen it off and shows no sign of charging whatsoever. The volume down and power button does nothing. I thought like my phone it'll keep showing the circle with the lighting bolt until it at least reaches 1%. Do I keep it plugged in and hopes it charges eventually or what? As I've heard people with similar issues doing that and it didn't charge.

return it as defective.

Send it back for a newer one or contact samsung and they'll send you a similar one or better

@fizdog Have you tried disconnecting it from the charger and reconnecting it to see if the % is any different?
