Syncing tablet calendar to phone

Hi. Hoping someone can show me the error of my ways. I am trying to sync my Samsung calendar on my A9+ phone to my A13 tablet. I have followed the instructions, making sure I am signed into my Samsung account, checking both calendars have sync turned on, both are backed up to the cloud, but hitting sync now does nothing. My tablet calendar is blank. I am sure it is user error, but what, I dont know! TIA

Open the calendar event you want to share between devices and tap edit.

Use the "select calendar" section to make sure your calendar events are associated with your Samsung account and not your device. Items set to "my calendar" in the "my phone" category will not show on your tablet.

Thank you. I thought that I could just sync my entire calendar. That's what the instructions insinuate, IMO. So, you have to do this for every event?

You can do them all at once! It's a bit of a process, though.

From calendar view:
3 horizontal lines, top left > gear icon (settings) > scroll down to "manage calendars" > 3 dots, top right > Move events > transfer your on-device calendars into your Samsung calendar.

The tablet does have them, but that seems to be for calendar to calendar on the tablet.

It looks like you are using an older version of One UI, so things may be different on your device. Does tapping the + bring up this menu for you?

Yeah 5.1 One UI. No, the + is just add accounts. The tablet is 8.0 and Android 16 and it just tablet calendars only, no choice for another device.

For your events that aren't syncing, are they saved to device only or your Samsung account?

Both. I can sync going thru the steps given me below, but not through the steps given when I searched!

When you create an event does it say My Calendar or your gmail address? Maybe it should be set to your Gmail address as default in calender settings. This is from what I'm reading on Gemini and the information could be wrong.

My calendar. The mergid GEParsons gave me works. It is just clunky.

Very smart resolution you were given if it works. In terms of clunky, I'm assuming the view? You can change the view, style, font size, and add wrap to the titles in the calendar settings. Also, portrait rotation could help and adding widgets may help.

The view iss fine. I was going to get an automatic sync. Enter on 1 device, show on all. Doesn't seem to work that way. Good yhing it isn't all that important
Not sure I want to go thru a manual sync for every event!
