TL;DR: Will the international SM-X936B Tab S11 Ultra 5G 1TB work properly in the U.S., and are there any rumors of a future U.S. 5G 1TB Tab S model?

I was wondering if we'll ever get a Galaxy Tab S series with 5G in the United States.

I'm specifically looking at the SM-X936B, the Tab S11 Ultra 5G 1TB model. If I'm going to buy a 5G tablet and use it as a phone replacement, I'd rather get the 1TB version.

Since there's no official 5G version in the U.S. right now, would the international model work well enough here to be worth buying? I'm not too concerned about rural coverage since I live in the city and would usually have Wi-Fi nearby anyway.

Has anyone tried this model in the U.S., or heard anything about a future Tab S12 with 5G and 1TB?

Thank you

- k94d5xero

I found the info in the attached screenshot, although I wasn't able to verify the bands with FrequencyCheck. It looks like T-Mobile would be your best bet for compatibility.

Anecdotally, T-Mobile is the best US network as far as compatibility with international devices. I can confirm this was the case with my OnePlus 13.

I haven't heard anything about a 5G version of the Tab S12. Samsung seems to be alternating between having a standard/Ultra combo and Plus/Ultra combo for tablets, according to odd/even model number. The last 5G tablet in the US was the Tab S10+.
