It takes very little to make a key stick/repeat or not respond. They also don't appear to be water resistant ("another brand's" do appear to be) so a simple, small spill can render the Samsung ones worthless. In terms of making progress I would recommend using it on a hard, flat surface such as a tabletop rather than your lap. The Samsung book covers bend easily, so on your lap it's easy to strain the connections at edge keys such as Shift and Caps Lock. I've had to replace at least one Samsung Book Cover due to similar problems to what you describe, my "other brand" tablet's book cover has never been changed or failed in any way in the same time. I have other problems with my Samsung Tablet Book Covers, they suddenly stop working entirely, one method of making that happen is if even the slightest pressure is placed on the open area behind the tablet when in use (but is not the only method of making it fail). I have to break and re-make the connection with the tablet when it fails . They also only have a single tilt angle, my other brand tablet has a book cover with two tilt angles and no physical electrical connection between the keyboard and tablet like the Samsung one has. Neither side of the keyboard's shift key will work. I have changed the keyboard settings multiple times, reset all settings and even factory data reset my device. No accessibility settings are on. I've tried researching the issue online and haven't seen a solution. Anyone have any ideas?
