Unable to receive messages on Galaxy Tab A11 plus

I want to know why I am not able to receive Google text messages unless I open them on mine tablet I can receive them on my phone and yes they are paired but the only way I know I got them on my tablet is I have to open Google me and then they come up on the tablet any suggestions and yes I unpaired them and paired them again still the same problem and yes everything is updated

Because your tablet is still a type of phone. It has its own IMEI and SIM number. The only reason you're getting messages on your tablet at all is because you're signed into the same Gmail on your tablet and phone.

That's not it because at first it was receiving messages because it is paired with my phone now I have to open that app in order to see the messages on my tablet so there is something else going on with it

And I am also able to make calls on my tablet using my phone it's just the message thing

I fixed it I had that in April the feature on my phone so I resolved it now now I am getting text messages

So now when I receive a text message on my phone it is linked with my phone I receive it on my tablet too

But here is the thing if I uninstall Samsung messages it stop working but I was told they are discontinuing Samsung messages but yet I need it to be able to receive text messages on my tablet

I guess my question is why do I have to keep Samsung messages on my tablet in order to receive text messages from my phone
